A couple small feature requests/tweaks that I think would make makemkv even better
1) A command line option for selecting the source disk/file for makemkv to read from would be awesome (part of the benefit of this would be that it could skip the source selection screen and jump straight to processing the disk)
2) With regards to the optical drive selection dropdown I think it would be nice if it didn't list the drives in reverse order. Also ... if it could show something to make them more unique that would also be helpful (perhaps the device node? (ie: /dev/sr0 /dev/sr1 ... /dev/srn), seeing as even DVD labels can be worthless (ie: DVDDISC). (I have 3 identical drives, if you see my meaning)
Feature Requests
Re: Feature Requests
Rather than starting another thread, I figured I would add my request to yours. What I would like to see is to be able to limit the size of the mkv file byte-wise. Especially from the command line. I tend to prefer my blu-rays rips in a smaller size for storage ease. Looking at the Command line usage nothing pops out.
Re: Feature Requests
That's not how MakeMKV works. It doesn't re-encode, so there can be no control over the output file size (other than removing audio or subtitle tracks).rikkards wrote:Rather than starting another thread, I figured I would add my request to yours. Re: Feature Requests
I would love to be able to select a subset of audio and subtitle streams when using makemkvcon.
