Can MakeMKV verify disc files without decrypting?

Yes makemkv even with a protected copy still checks the hash file

I have a 4K disc which does not have a known volume key (dump submitted) and I am not concerned with ripping the disc but simply want to verify disc integrity without watching the film (It's a replacement disc for a film I watched a month ago). In a full disc backup, does MakeMKV actually check the hash of video files when decrypt is unchecked?
