This drive has the same issue as well:

Drive Information
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: TSSTcorp
Product: DVDWBD SE-406AB
Revision: TS00
Serial number: R8E86GRB500462
Bus encryption flags: 1E

When will this fix be released? I really like this drive and plan on keeping it.

I have the same drive and had no luck - looking forward to an update in the next week or so (before my 21 days return window closes).

Its been three weeks since that post. I just downloaded the latest version and I'm still having this same issue. Any idea how much longer it may be?

An update would be very much appreciated at this point.

I associate with the others. "TSSTcorp DVDWBD SE-406AB TS00" If we don't get an update until tomorrow I must send the Blu-ray drive back :-(

By an update, I'm not necessarily speaking of a new build (although that would be great), but at least a post to let us know how things are progressing. Is that too much to ask?

1.6.13 is available and has full support for aacs bus encryption. Please note that bus encryption is a protection for both drives (new BEC drives) and discs (so-called BEF discs). BEC stands for "bus encryption capable" and BEF stands for "bus encryption flag". Most "other" programs support only old discs in BEC drives. MakeMKV now supports all scenarios, including BEF disc in BEC drive - in this case CPU usage and read speed might be slower as the drive will encrypt data on the fly and MakeMKV would remove the encryption. Thank you for waiting.

Thanks Mike. I feel a donation is more than justified.

@mike admin

1) Are "BEF" discs a problem when used with NON-"BEC" drives with programs other than MakeMKV?

2) Are "BEF" discs ONLY commercial discs, or might blank writeable media also contain "bus encryption flags"?

No, pre-BEC drives just ignore BEF flag.

BEC drive will always require encrypted content when writing. Whether BEF flag will be written in sector headers, I don't know - quite possibly.

WOW! Thank you! I finally get to see the beauty of this app. I got a new drive and it was one of the affected ones. I've been waiting months to be able to use this as I didn't want to give up that drive, and finally I am able to. Thank you again. Donation on the way.
