Planet Earth III 4K - Dump Files Submitted
Planet Earth III 4K - Dump Files Submitted
I've submitted 3 dump files (3 discs) for Planet Earth III 4K, released on Feb. 13th, 2024.
MKB20_v77_Planet_Earth_III_-_Disc_1_1058.tgz
MKB20_v77_Planet_Earth_III_-_Disc_2_B366.tgz
MKB20_v77_Planet_Earth_III_-_Disc_1_6DF8.tgz
Looks like the disc 3 is labeled incorrectly by the manufacturer? *_Disc_1_6DF8.tgz is actually disc 3. I've just double-checked and confirmed.

Just to confirm, my copy also incorrectly labels disk 3 as an additional disk 1.

submitted mine as well, though my disk 3 also is labeled as disk 1
Re: Planet Earth III 4K - Dump Files Submitted
Submitted mine also, and noted in the submission email that Disc 3 is labeled Disc 1 but with a different four letter code.
Thanks for all the MakeMKV team does!

Tried again around 9am PST today, still no joy but I'll be patient
Re: Planet Earth III 4K - Dump Files Submitted
Also submitted mine, and once again I had a disk1 filename for the disk3 dump

I tried following the instructions from that thread. While I could not download FindVUK for some reason, I did manage to find a copy of the latest output.nacellex wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2024 2:13 pmTake a look at this, someone had success ripping Planet Earth III using this method:

Google "FindVUK Online Database", download the keydb and extract the contents to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\.MakeMKV.
Can confirm Planet Earth III is ripping right now. Thanks for the tip!

I might try that method if this isn't updated and working in a day or two
Re: Planet Earth III 4K - Dump Files Submitted
I just downloaded that keydb from the FindVUK Online Database, and the first disk is now ripping.

I just waited it out and now plain old vanilla MakeMKV is able to open disk 1. backing mine up now
Re: Planet Earth III 4K - Dump Files Submitted
Can confirm that UHD discs are backing up beautifully without any workarounds. Thanks as always to the MakeMKV team.
