corupt or invalid file

Post by stevenm56 »

I've been using a registered copy of MakeMKV to put all my dvd/blurays to my Synology nas. All has been fine until today. I was copying "Bicentennial man," and got the following error.
The source file '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_03_1.VOB' is corrupt or invalid at offset 73728, attempting to work around.

The movie plays fine, and I was wondering what it means as another disc is showing the same issue.

Am running the latest version, 1.17.6.

I looked for a log file but couldn't find one. TIA

Stuff like that usually indicates the optical drive was unable to correctly read a spot on the disc. The standard advice is to gently clean the disc and try again.
