RPC protection that can not be bypassed - error on v1.6.14

greetings..

Been using earlier releases on trial basis..no problems at all converting blue rays. 50+ burned.

Got round to paying and now on MakeMKV v1.6.14 win(x64-release)

... First two films I have tried with this version (The Wrestler, Harry Potter 5).. report the folowing :


Drive BD-ROM PLEXTOR BD-ROM PX-B120U 1.06 has RPC protection that can not be bypassed. Change drive region or update drive firmware from http://tdb.rpc1.org. Errors likely to follow.

Did dig aronud, but cant find the firmeware for my model.

But it does seems a bit wierd that this worked perfectly fine with same BR drive in earlier version of makemkv..

Then I update to new version and get errors on first 2 films i have tried. Telling me its a drive issue...

If you re-try one or two of your earlier original, commercial Blu-ray discs that previously worked successfully with MakeMKV, does the current version of MakeMKV handle them properly?

This means that this particular drive is a bad choice for reading DVDs with mismatched region. Try copying these discs (as they should be rare) on another drive.

If your discs are mostly the same region you can try changing the region to match the discs
