I have just purchased a BD-RE BU40N from Amazon ( the Archgon USB 3.0 External UHD 4K Blu-ray MD-8107S-U3YC-UHD )
I think I have most of the information I need to upgrade the drive (currently on firmware 1.02) so that I can backup UHD movies.Below is the full drive information shown by MakeMKV

1) First upgrade the drive to firmware 1.03 ( DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin )
2) Then downgrade it to 1.00 ( DE_LG_BU40N_1.00.bin ).
Is that correct?
Which tool should I use to upgrade/downgrade ?
- makemkvcon.exe (command line)?
- makemkvcon64.exe (command line)?
- Or some other Windows GUI tool?
If I use the command line tool what are the flags/options I need to specify?
Where is the "official" download for the firmware files?
I have found this thread that lists some firmware:

Then here I found completely different firmware:

Thank you in advance for all your help!
