Ordered a Pioneer BDR-212V

#1 Post by crowdx42 » Sun Jan 21, 2024 5:23 pm

Hi all,
so I just ordered a Pioneer BDR-212V and I am wondering which firmware works for this drive for UHD disks? I presume if it is a newer firmware when it arrives, it will not be flashable at all?
I am taking a chance on this drive and hoping it is flashable, otherwise I will probably end up buy a pre-flashed drive from Billy.

As an update, I received my BDR-212V and flashed it and everything went smoothly. The drive is currently reading my Game of Thrones disks that my LG drives refused to rip.

Hi all!
New user here, reading and learning. I want to buy the same drive. Hopefully on Amazon I will get one that is flashable.
Can you please share with me how you did it, and which firmware you loaded (which was the original question).
Thanks!

@Coopervid

I have a Pioneer BDR-212V with v1.02 firmware. Is there a firmware to flash this drive? Do you need any other info?

Drive Information
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-212V
Revision: 1.02
