1.17.6 DMG is Damaged

“makemkv_v1.17.6_osx.dmg” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

I get this error no matter what troubleshooting steps I try, including downloading with different browsers and attempting to extract the data within the disk image using a third-party utility rather than the native macOS disk image mounter.

I'm on an M2 Pro 16" MacBook Pro running macOS Sonoma 14.2.1.

Just a heads up to the dev that the DMG needs to be remade and reuploaded.

I suppose it could have been repaired in the last few hours, I just installed 1.17.6 cleanly on my M2 Air Sonoma 14.3.

This could be a downlaod issue.

I just tried to install MakeMKV on top of a clean install of Mac OS Mavericks (something I've had no issue with before).

Every version I tried off the main site had the same issue – downloadng with Firefox.

Solution was to use a dedicated download app.

Leech (which works with legacy Macs) worked perfectly first time.

Did the file you downloaded hash the same as the hash posted on MakeMKV.com?
