Which part of the test shows a darker green beak? I haven't noticed any green tint on my C2, which is also calibrated.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 1:12 pmOn the C2, no reaction at all on any of the test files and the eagle beak looks darker green like in HDR10, not bright yellow as it should.
Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.

In Vincent's video, he mentions green but I also don't see a green tint or color. Though @RESET_9999 mentioned it isn't the color that is important, rather some visible change between the 'original' & 'no-trim-chroma-weight' shots. (see correction in this POST).

DV chroma weight makes the eagle beak bright yellow instead of greenish looking in HDR10. You can see it in @Vincent video and @aboulfad pictures.azreil24 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 1:36 pmWhich part of the test shows a darker green beak? On the C2, CW doesn't work and the beak looks more like HDR10(darker yellow greenish)

No, I mentioned that it doesn't matter how it looks in the inaccurate cinema home mode.
The beak is supposed to look bright yellow.
Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Yeah, in this collection: LG DV Picmode Oppo, you see the green, but that was ONLY when I used inaccurate Cinema Home. When I used Cinema (w LG DV cal profile + 2/20 points settings), both shots looked yellow to me, but the original more yellow.
I'll link when I find the comparison of both shots using Cinema calibrated pic mode: slow pics comparison

Neither of these two files show any change on E7 Cinema (calibrated)/Oppo. Full circle, it seems for my setup I have no conclusive mechanism to check that my TV is in TV_Led.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 1:12 pmother CW test files... On my E7, there's some interesting relationship with Cinema pic mode & chroma weight where the default cinema doesn't react to changes, while the calibrated DV profile applied to Cinema reacts to the chroma weight changes. Maybe it all doesn't matter, bcoz you said earlier that chroma weight isn't used that often.

Now that's strange and sounds like my C2 behavior...aboulfad wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 2:52 pmNeither of these two files show any change on E7 Cinema (calibrated)/Oppo. Full circle, it seems for my setup I have no conclusive mechanism to check that my TV is in TV_Led.

What's the original DV config on your E7?
Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Looks pretty bright yellow to me. Will test it out in HDR10 later, made me curious.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 1:59 pmDV chroma weight makes the eagle beak bright yellow instead of greenish looking in HDR10. Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Idk! Now that’s what I’ve been searching for. I can’t use bscpylgtv nor any other means to retrieve it from this 2017 TV, nor can I root it bcoz it’s on Webos 3.9.2. I’ve unpacked the firmware & the contents of a Dolby dir but doesn’t show E7 specific files. I did find some OLED_ALL config file…
I’ve also ssh’ed to my TV in dev mode, but that’s a chroot limited mode so I can’t search… how do you know or have your TV’s default DV config ?

its because you've never seen it with Chroma Weight working.
Try on the FireTV stick or on the Shield in LLDV.

Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
I don't think the guy who calibrated my TV changed the internal config and I never tried to get that info from my TV( I never mess with my C2).
Re: Dolby Vision now possible through MP4 Mux.
Oh, so the C2 doesn't process the Chroma Weight by itself, but if processed by a player than can, it will have an effect on the C2's colors.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:26 pmits because you've never seen it with Chroma Weight working.

Idk how DV calibration works for C2 (check avsforum), but for the older 7 series, it’s a tedious procedure & $ equipment that in the end you load a DV profile onto the TV using a USB stick. This is a LG supported procedure used by DV pro calibrators. I can add that profile, update or erase it using the LGTV when I play a DV film.RESET_9999 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 15, 2024 3:28 pmI don't think the guy who calibrated my TV changed the internal config and I never tried to get that info from my TV( I never mess with my C2).
So when you asked me about my original DV profile, I thought you had yours extracted somehow from the TV.

@ aboulfad not related to CW but could you test this file please on your E7 internal player and oppo? https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GQ6CHY ... sp=sharing
i did a new FEL test file which makes it more obvious when FEL is decoded. Works well on my x700.
