BDR-XS07S UHD Flash

Is it possible to flash this drive to read UHD disks? Here are the specs according to MakeMKV:

Hi Coopervid, I'm assuming it's because I just registered yesterday, but I'm not seeing an option to respond to your PM.

Can you tell me how the flasher works? Is it physical or software? Sorry if this is a noob question; this is all very new to me.

It seems to have worked, thank you! I'm ripping a 4k disk now, so we'll see how it turns out.

Hello everyone here,
just as the others here I too recently picked up a BDR-XS07TS recently and would like to know how to get it up to UHD.
I'm aware of Billycar11's Auto flash kit for 25, but it sounds here like there might be another way too.
Just like hydra I can not yet send PMs.

Where did you guys buy your drives from? I just purchased one from BH Photo and unfortunately it has 1.03.

I also picked up one of these drives recently. Mine is on firmware 1.00.
