MakeMKV v1.6.12 win(x86-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
This disc uses newer version of AACS protection. Please let us know about it by visiting http://www.makemkv.com/a/?mpqamppPtaeeG+...
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc
Makemkv failed on bluray !!!
Re: Makemkv failed on bluray !!!
Hi cbrpaul,
What did you mean by "bluray collection"?
Did your disk is a original bluray or a decrypted one or burned one?
MakeMKV is used with original bluray containing protection.
Original Bluray disk.. a encrypted and standard, this could be not the case of other Bluray disk.
If you used a program like DVDFab, be sure your Bluray video aren't standard, so MakeMKV doesn't support it.
If you already remove the protected... there is no point using MakeMKV, just look for m2ts file directly on the disk.

Re: Makemkv failed on bluray !!!
aacs encryption isn't supported by makemkv yet. there is a long thread about it here and it is supposed to be fixed soon:

Thx for the info
Re: Makemkv failed on bluray !!!
That thread is about AACS bus encryption, not AACS. AACS is obviously supported, but it's periodically updated - and MakeMKV needs to be updated as well to be able to support the newer version of AACS:reebok wrote:aacs encryption isn't supported by makemkv yet. there is a long thread about it here and it is supposed to be fixed soon:
