Can the sleep bug damage a drive?

#1 Post by xenphor » Mon Jan 08, 2024 2:41 am

I have a BW-16D1HT with 3.00 firmware which seems to work okay for UHDs without firmware flashing. I didn't want to flash the drive unless it was necessary. I encountered the sleep bug once but didn't know what was happening, so I didn't immediately eject the disc. Can this harm the drive or disc if it happens again?
