ASUS BW-16D1X-U - Flashable?
Hi everyone!
A long-time fan of MakeMKV and my first post.
Anyway... I am reaching out to see if I can safely flash my drive for UHD ripping. Here is my information from MakeMKV. Email me for an auto flasher that does everything for you it does not need all that user input and your not even supposed to have that version at the request of the developer...
I'm one of the few who are authorized to distribute a different version

Re: ASUS BW-16D1X-U - Flashable?
I have a similar drive:
Drive Information
OS device name: \Device\CdRom0
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: ASUS
Product: BW-16D1X-U
Revision: E113
Serial number: [...]
Firmware date: 2020-07-21
Bus encryption flags: 1B
Highest AACS version: 68
LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible, not yet enabled
Drive platform: Pioneer RS8F00
Firmware version: ID76
Since it doesn't have the MT1959 I'm a bit weary of flashing it. I thought of flashing it to `DE_ASUS_BW-16D1HT_3.10_MK` (internal). Is that correct? Or should I do something else?

Do NOT try writing an Asus/LG firmware image to PIONEER drive!Drive platform: Pioneer RS8F00
Having pioneer hardware in that drive is unusual.

So what would you suggest I do?
Re: ASUS BW-16D1X-U - Flashable?
Hi, I've also bought this drive recently expecting it to be UHD compatible, I have the Pioneer RS8F00 drive platform too and can't figure out if it's safe to flash based on the posts I've already read.

Hello, I just bought the ASUS BW-16D1X-U and was under the notion that it would be able to rip UHD. I have seen posts that flashing Pioneer drives is not possible or difficult. What should I do?
