bypass copy protection message on decrypted backup menu playback?

i have backed up my discs from the bluray of Napoleon (1927). however, on playback in VLC, it throws up a copy protection message and blocks playback.

now this isnt a huge issue; i can bypass it by playing it with no disc menus, and makemkv will rip from the backup just fine, but of course i'd like to get menu playback working if possible, for the extras and so on.

It it complaining about region coding? I believe you can change the region coding of VLC in the menus somewhere. I think it defaults to region 2, but you can change it to whatever region your blu-ray is.
