No Highway in the Sky (1951) DVD

I tried few DVD (No Highway in the Sky - 1951), they are all clean and no major damage on the surface. Tried different DVD readers too. An was not able to convert it. The MakeMKV (version 1.17.5), when readin the DVD stop on the VOBU 49721, and is not able to complete the disc reading ? I use the MacOS MakeMKV.
Does anyone had the same problem or a suggestion to resolve it

Multiple disks AND multiple drives stopping at the same location reminds me of a disk I have... I could not get it to read a particular track on multiple drives. Replaced the disk. Same spot has a failure. Replaced the disk 3 more times, including multiple rentals from Netflix. Always died at the same location.

Eventually I dug out a DVD-only drive... a Sony from the turn of (this) century. Turned up the retry count on MakeMKV. Eventually, it was able to read that track. It was a defect in the disk that was present in 5 different copies.

That's one possibility. Read retry count is on the Preferences->IO menu. Default is 10. Don't get ridiculous with it... 100 is not going to help, for example.

Thanks, I changed to 25 but still stopped on the same VOBU 49721

Was interesting I move the DVD player to a Windows 11 PC Computer and was able to copy the DVD without a problem !!
