Cyberlink PowerDVD 22 will not play any Blu-Rays.

Post by chandler010 » Wed Nov 15, 2023 10:22 am

Hello! I recently got PowerDVD 22 to play Blu-Rays, as I've found VLC to be a bit of a headache with stuttering and stopping playback at random points. Every time I try to play a disc in PowerDVD 22, I get the error "Cyberlink PowerDVD cannot play this content because it is corrupted". DVDs play fine, and the discs I've been testing load up in VLC as well. Any help on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.

P.S: My drive is the LG BP50NB40.

Are you opening them.in makemkv before you open cyberlink?
If so don't do that as maklv.removes buss encryption on libredrives and cyber link probably don't like that.
It should work on stand blu-ray but will never work on UHD Blu rays
With a flashed drive that's not official
Buy a UHD drive from the guide and how to video maker: https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 20&t=17831

No, I am not opening MakeMKV before using PowerDVD. I've tried a fresh restart too just to ensure that wasn't the issue. MakeMKV isn't a startup program either to my knowledge.

Yes, they're original. Strangely enough though, my custom BD-Rs work fine (not copyrighted stuff, just concert footage).

So you don't have MakeMKV, AnyDVD or DVDFab Passkey running at all?
Cheers :D
