Stops Ripping at 103.8K?

Hi y’all!
I am starting my home media project and have run into a problem. Some of my TV shows DVDs just stop loading at 103.8k. I have bought 2 disk drives, thinking that there was an issue with the original drive, but these disks stop ok both!

Any idea what might be happening?

Season 3&4 of Park & Rec and Season 7 of the Office so far from the box sets.

I have tried on 3 disk drives and this error has only happened on TV shows. Ugh!

Any ideas at all?

Do the different DVD Opening Modes make a difference?

Does gently cleaning the disc make a difference?

I'm having the exact same problem with many of the Warehouse 13 DVDs. Some titles rip OK. Some stall at 103.8kb. It doesn't cause an error. It just sits there and I have to cancel the rip.

As suggested, I went into Preferences and tried the different DVD scanning methods (Auto, Cell Walk, Cell Trim, Cell Full, or whatever they were called). That didn't make a difference.

If I open the DVD manually, I CANNOT rip the first chapter or segment of the affected titles. I can rip chapter or segments 2 - 5. I think there's something odd at how some of the DVDs are authored and it's confusing MakeMKV?

The DVDs are not scratched. And even if they were, they wouldn't all stall at the exact same kb.

The DVD titles play ok in VLC

I'm thinking I should try an older version of MakeMKV next.

Any other suggestions?

I was able to resolve my similar problem with Warehouse 13 DVDs by going back to MakeMKV version 1.17.0. Version 1.16.7 was OK too.

I get the error with versions 1.17.1, 1.17.2, and 1.17.5.
