Hi all,
I'm getting a new TV next week. It'll be my first 4K set. I've been using Kodi for all my BD rips, but would like to branch out into the world of 4K HDR10/DV.
What is the best option right now for the whole experience? Is there something that does DV/HDR10, and bitstreams TrueHD and DTS-MA? I don't have an Atmos setup. I'm not married to Kodi, though I do like it. I could switch to something else like Plex/Emby/Whatever if that is needed.
Thanks for your time!

The Nvidia Shield TV can play just about anything including DV, HDR10, TrueHD, and DTS-MA with KODI. It doesn't offer fulll DV FEL support, but not much really does, and you won't miss it. As a bonus you can also get apps for Netflix, Hulu, AppleTV, Disney+ etc that will run on it. If you do go with the Shield TV, make sure you get he 'Pro' version.

To play DV from MKV's you'll have to go with something like Maven's Kodi branch, or wait for the upcoming V21 'Omega' release.

Maven Kodi branch will have to be side loaded onto the Shield TV because it's not from an official Appstore..
