Can you show us the drive info from MakeMKV?
Cheers

Or an screenshot from the interface?
no he means the dive info side bar before you open the disc
yeah its probably some bp60/BU40n derivative but not sure, mike would know best if we should just cross flash this or it should get its own dedicated mk fw
or you could risk it and flash it
your be best to reach out to him just be patient and willing to give him remote access to your drive and know your way around the cmd a bit as thats required for his drive remote access tool
It looks like an BU40N that was put into an plastic case. If i open it, the internals are identical, they even use the same korean cables and also the buttons and so on are at the same place.
And the plastic case it resids in is, no question, an OEM case. I am 99% sure this is an BU40N. Its from an Japanese Maker by the way.
Does that mean the chances are high it will work? Or is this unrelated?
I just pulled the trigger and cross-flashed the 1.03MK from the BU40N, works perfectly, rip is in process without any issues whatsoever.
Thank you so much for pointing this out, saved me money (because this drive is significantly cheaper than the buffalo) and i can finally watch my 4K BluRay in all its glory =)
