Read error for second LOTR The Two Towers (Ext) 4K disc

Hello, I am fairly new to all this ripping stuff so forgive me if I misspeak but I am ripping the Lord of the Rings movies and for the second disc of The Two Towers I am getting read errors causing the rip to fail. The error popup is linking me to this page which mentions there is a way to copy the disc to the hard drive and then make some kind of backup you can use in MakeMKV. It says to look on the forums for how to do it but I can't find instructions. Can someone help point me in the right direction? Thanks!
