Hello, I am new to ripping and am currently trying to rip a 4K UHD disc from Japan. I was able to successfully rip the Blu-ray included with no issues whatsoever. But the UHD is giving me multiple hash check errors usually around the same time every time I attempt to rip it, I have already tried cleaning it multiple times with no avail. Any other ways I could solve this issue?

Are the errors always at the same spot, or "move around" in the same general area?

Sometimes, BD and UHD read faster than the drive has power to go, and it shuts down mid-rip. The key when that happens is to slow the drive so it doesn't exceed available power, or get it more power.

It moves around the same area, how would I slow the drive down? I have a Archgon MD-8107S-U3-UHD.

It's actually better to make it so the drive can run full-speed, that is, give it full power. If it's not a USB-powered drive, it's a problem, but USB-powered drives USUALLY come with a two-headed cable, that needs to be plugged into "individual" USB ports. A laptop, for example, may have only "one port" worth of power available for all USB ports, so that's screwed, unless you use a USB hub with a separate power supply.

But slowing it down can happen by having it write to somewhere slower than the max speed of the drive. I used to do it with a USB flash drive, but those got faster and faster as they got bigger, so...
