Super Mario Bros. Movie no subtitles

Hi, I'm having trouble with the subtitles not showing when I'm trying to play the .mkv file. The langue subtitle track is showing in the menu in Kodi but does not show any subtitles during playback. This is the only movie where I have had this issue.
