Hi,

I've been trying to rip the retail Super Mario Brothers 4k disc and have been having issues. Below is the error message I'm receiving. This may be some sort of a read issue, but I don't think so as I've tried it with two different discs and both have given me this issue. I've also ripped a half dozen or so 4k discs since first getting a failure on this disc, so I don't think it's my setup either. Any help or suggestions? Thanks!

Is your drive for reading USB-powered, by chance? If so, make sure it is "fully powered", because the errors you're seeing are consistent with the drive stopping when it tries to go faster than the port can power.

Thanks but no, it's powered separately by an AC adapter. To be sure that wasn't the problem, I also switched the drive to a different outlet to be sure it wasn't something with that outlet being faulty, but no luck. Any other thoughts? Thanks again!

then this is only caused by a bad disc or bad drive.
clean the drive laser see if it helps

I'm having the same issue as OP. I'm using a brand new drive (literally got it in the mail today) and a brand new disc that I just took out of the packaging. Did you ever get this working? The package (Mario Bros. Movie "Power Up Edition") comes with both a 1080p Blu-Ray disc and a UHD disc. I was able to successfully rip the 1080p disc but for the UHD disc I keep getting the following errors:

I'm actually having the same issue, and the disk can be read fine by my ps5 so i don't think it's the disk fault. I've bought a brand new drive just in case, but getting the same read error.
Anyone else managed to solve this ?

What drive did you buy?
I recommend pioneers for hard to read discs

I bought the ASUS BW-16D1HT/G flashed it good, and indeed managed to read a disc i wasn't able to with my other drive, but this one still is resisting me.

I bought a WH16NS60. I actually did get this working after a reboot and cleaning the disk. It was BRAND NEW out of the package but somehow had a smudge on it that wasn't from me. Maybe I got a returned copy or something? In any case, I was able to rip the UHD version of Mario!
