What settings to use on cracked one?
I generated a xml using the recently updated preset in cracked version (18.6). Do we need to make any changes or is that fine?
You have to use the same old settings cubic + 1080p as before...
This is so strange, I wonder if there are other things that don't work properly in the cracked version, I'm glad I legally bought it.

“SEI Next-gen Box is equipped with Amlogic S905X5 which incorporates a New-gen CPU, 4K HDR UI GPU, NPU 2x4Kp60 decoder, and WVC. Incorporating Ai-SR, Dolby Laboratories Dolby Atmos, eARC, VRR, and QMS support”

Is there any legitimate other reason for dual 4k60 decoders other than FEL Dolby Vision? Sounds like an interesting contender
I personally gave up on those cheap android boxes but let us know if you try it.

18.6 also fixes the downscaling bug, now there is no longer a difference between the project set to 1080p or 2160p. NICE!
18.6 scaling VS no scaling:https://slow.pics/c/bJAeBXyi
18.5 scaling VS no scaling: https://slow.pics/c/4O89GXHw
EDIT: woah, scratch that. It turns out the scaling issues are caused by the cracked version  .
wait I'm stupid sorry. When I tested my fresh install of resolve , the timeline was set automatically to 1080p and didn't change to 2160p when i imported the movie so that's why it didn't make difference in the metadata and scope when i switched from 1080p scaling to no scaling. When i redid the preset, i noticed that there was a difference between scaling or not like before so the behavior is still present and we still have to use he same cubic 1080p settings as before :(

With the new Tuning 1, there's a very small difference between scaling and no scaling: https://slow.pics/c/40L7cK3b
only with the old algo, there's a huge difference, same as before: https://slow.pics/c/YQEbjBIn

Pic 1 - 1080p Cubic 18.5 Resolve
Pic 2 - Cubic 18.6 Resolve
Pic 3 - 1080p Cubic 18.6 Resolve

Pic 2 and 3 are basically the same but I would choose 1080p cubic as it does speed up things for me.

Also RESET why is L1 of One Piece flat? Is it simply SDR?

EDIT - Here is my try of SDR to HDR conversion - https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

yeah, I hate it when the studios just put 100nits SDR into an HDR/DV container.
Basically, the only HDR in this TV show is the Netflix intro at 943nits and they didn't even bother doing the ending credits, it's just straight SDR text to HDR( blinding 10k nits) lol

About your conversion, I would have used the HDR webdl in Resolve but it looks like you went a bit too strong on the ''DARK'' setting. Personally I always reduce ''dark'' as much as I raise ''global'', otherwise, you introduce black crush.
example: https://slow.pics/c/i0IXZHzW

for reference, this is MA Theater Camp SDR to HDR I did recently (dark -0.30 /global +0.30):

I think they just want to make sure that the DV logo pops up, even if the content is just SDR. The Ahsoka show, Barbie are below 400nits most of the time.

Yeah my image looks too dark. I'll try some other settings. Thanks

400 nits is not SDR, and the image doesn't have to be bright all the time to be HDR.
Ahsoka looks nice and it's graded to 600 nits.

I think Ahsoka looks better in SDR. For Ashoka HDR colours look washed no matter which screen I tried.

yeah, I agree and I'm fine with a 200-400 grade if that's intended. And most movies have an average brightness under 100nits with just the highlights that are brighter.
In NF One Piece the 600nits trim pass makes it a little brighter though.

So what are the ideal settings to use now in the latest version of Resolve Studio (18.6 at the time of this post?)?
Are those results now identical to the latest version of CM_Analyze (5.4.0 at the time of this post?)?

Including 1080p Cubic scaling?
Did Black Magic adopt the latest CM_Analyze algo/tools into Resolve?

Not to be harsh, but you really should put a little effort into figuring out answers to your questions, like looking up v18.6 release notes or reading the last 1-2 pages of this thread. It's been covered.

What’s the best way to convert BL + FEL expanded movies now. Is it using Resolve/CM Analyze or Baking FEL into the base layer. What I used to do was Bake FEL into base layer is that wrong now? Or is it better to just use the script and use CM Analyze to generate whole new DV
