Trouble with VLC Player: Running out of Free Space during Direct Blu-ray Playback

The problem arises when I attempt to play a Blu-ray movie using VLC Player without copying the contents to my hard drive. As you know, VLC allows direct playback from optical media like DVDs and Blu-rays. This has always worked seamlessly for me with DVDs, but with Blu-rays, it's a different story. Has anyone else faced a similar problem when playing Blu-rays directly using VLC?
