First time posting, so please be patient if I've done something wrong:
This is the 4K UHD of Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (2022). The VolumeID file is from a full disc backup attempt. The other is from just trying to open the disc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not really sure what you're asking.
Are you trying to rip a UHD? Is it not working?
Your drive doesn't appear to be flashed properly to support LibreDrive. That's required to be able to rip UHDs. Check out the Ultimate UHD Drives Flashing Guide.

Correct. Sorry. I tried to backup or open this disc, and I'm unable. The drive can support UHD, just not this specific disc.
And I apologize for my ignorance regarding LibreDrive. I didn't realize that was required. I'm currently looking at your link for flashing. Thank you.

Re: Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (2022)
Okay, I went through the LibreDrive flashing process. I checked the encrypted list, and I don't believe my drive's firmware is on that list. I'm on a Mac, so I followed those instructions. The output would seem to indicate that it was successfully flashed:
Operation started: Sending flash image to drive
100% Operation finished
Operation started: Programming flash
100% Operation finished
Done successfully
But when I try again to rip, I'm getting the same errors. Plus, ./makemkvcon f -l output is the same as before the flash:
02: /IOBDServices/73D3B636, /dev/rdisk4, /dev/rdisk4
HL-DT-ST_BD-RE__WH16NS60_1.03_212005081010_KLNL2AE0930
I tried rebooting the drive just in case. No change.
To be absolutely clear, this is the exact command I ran: ./makemkvcon f -d '/IOBDServices/73D3B636' -f /tmp/sdf.bin rawflash main -i /tmp/HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02-NM00100-211810291936.bin
This was after copying the files to the /tmp directory and cd-ing into /Applications/MakeMKV.app/Contents/MacOS/
The WH16NS60 has a variant of 1.03 listed in the encrypted list, but it's not quite the same as what mine showed. The drive was manufactured in March 2021.
Any advice? Should I try the flash command again, substituting "enc" for "main" in the previous command? Thank you so much for any help!

Yes. Yours is new enough that it is probably encrypted.jonfullmer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 24, 2023 9:01 pmAny advice? Should I try the flash command again, substituting "enc" for "main" in the previous command? Thank you so much for any help!

Success! I flashed with the encrypted option, and everything worked great! Thank you, dcoke22!
Billycar11: yes, thank you. I saw that entry, but my output is missing the "N000600", and I didn't know if that was important or not. Evidently, it was not. I appreciate your patience with someone coming at this new.
