Castle s6 disc 2

Post by Nazgvl »

Having problems getting makemkv to open this disc and find all 5 of the episode titles. It finds the first three and then throws a bunch of debug error codes before finally opening and only listing the first three titles.

This is what is in the log box.

Using direct disc access mode

Title #19 has length of 6 seconds which is less than minimum title length of 500 seconds and was therefore skipped

Is there any work around for this to get me those two missing titles or am I screwed?

Try manually selecting different opening modes (CellTrim?):

DVD opening modes - CellWalk, CellTrim, CellFull

Ok,cellwalk fails outright with this:

Using direct disc access mode
DEBUG: Code 100864261 at XLZy#@p!6m/^{4B`f):121263429
DEBUG: Code 100864261 at XLZy#@p!6m/^{4B`f):121262302

DEBUG: Code 0 at U!`"&>w0bVN2/.:29397104
Failed to open disc

Celltrim and Cellfull give me the same result the auto option did originally, same error codes.

Anything else I can try?

I'm not wildly hopeful, but you could try Manual DVD mode.

You need to go into "Preferences" and click the box to enable "Expert Mode" to get the "Open DVD Files Manually" option.

Ok, so I opened it in manual mode and it sees all 5 episodes. What do I type in the string box to get it to rip them? Im not understanding the instructions on the manualdvd page. Ive attached a screenshot of the manual mode window. Help lol

Got it, sorry, was using commas between the title numbers like mkvtoolnix for chapters without realizing and wondering why it was only giving me the first one.

That said, it still wont open the final two titles, this is what it gives me in the log box.

Using direct disc access mode
Open DVD manually : "2,4,6,8,10"
Cells 8-8 were removed from title end
Title #2 was added (7 cell(s), 0:42:57)

I'm afraid that to we casual users, the debug codes are just clutter. Only @mike admin (MakeMKV author) possesses the "secret decoder ring". You could try sending the complete log & disc details to support@makemkv.com ?

YMMV whether you get a response,or not.
