total newbie help

Hi.
I`d like to rip my 4k UHD disks, but have no idea where to go from here.
It seems to be a minefield.
What drive (Internal prefered)?
What software?
What firmware?

Totally lost.
Please help

One of the drives listed here.
MakeMKV to rip with.
Appropriate firmware in the drive.
