Hi guys. I wanted to reach out regarding an error message I encountered while attempting to use the "HDR10(madVR) or HDR10plus to DoVi maker" tool to create a DoVi (Dolby Vision) file from an HDR10 source (SMPTE ST 2086, HDR10 compatible).

I am using the "DoVi_Scripts_1.8.6_MKV" batch script and upon executing the process, I received the following error message:

Code: Select all

I would appreciate any help in troubleshooting this issue. Thanks in advanced for any responses.

Hi RESET_1999, what do you mean when you say that TV-LED now works in Chromecast with Google TV but it's fake?

Thanks for your support :)
meaning it's still the player doing the RPU processing.

Hi RESET. Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have installed the latest version of madVR, however i cannot find the executable named madMeasureHDR.exe. As for the LAV-Filters, I also have them installed, however I am not sure If I am meant to place it in the tools folder.

madMeasureHDR.exe is already included in the tool pack. As for lav filters, you just have to install it, and no need to be in the tools folder.
Anyway, you will get better DV generation if you use the new Dolby workflow in 3-1 (latest version of the script)

all the tools are available on the dovi script GD link. download , extract and run the bat file.
Still having the EAE timeout issue. I don’t think it’s a case of a missing easyaudioencoder.exe or Plex file/folder. I’ve reinstalled the tools pack and script, made sure all tools are accounted for, and encountered the same issue converting TrueHD 7.1 to DD+ across macOS (running Parallels) and a normal Windows PC. Any thoughts on what this error could be? Thanks again for being so responsive.

No idea, it's working fine on my end with all the workflows that can encode 7.1 EC3.
In the worst-case scenario, you can always disable 7.1 encoding (line 32 set encode_7.1=NO)

Do the borders detection manually.
I'll check out why ''auto'' doesn't work later.

2) Mode 7/1/1 iPhone, iPad Dolby Vision don't work, he was just reading HDR10 https://radikal.host/i/FtgBco , other test_demo https://radikal.host/i/Ftgbsd

I've remuxed a DV title with MKVtoolnix, but when it comes to MakeMKV I keep getting errors.

And by the way SAME errors with both DV MP4/MKV sources.

Is there really nothing I can do about it?

Well, I don't know. I changed 7-1-1 a while ago(HEV1 to HVC1) because the appleTV now natively supports Profile 8 and HEV1 didn't work.
I guess that broke support on other devices?
