The firmware guide gives the following guidance:
The manufacturer sticker on my drive says it was made in December 2015, but the Drive Platform is reported as MT1959. Am I good to go, or is there no connection between the two? Is there a way to know if my drive was made late enough that I'm not going to brick it, or is it just "try it and find out"?1. Make sure your Drive was built after 2016 on label or late 2015 if you want to risk it.
2. Drive Platform MT1959<Most important in makemkv
3. SVC NS50+ LG only on label for NB drives NB50+
