Debug logs?

Post by zuhura2 »

I enabled debugging in preferences, but I don't see "Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as C:\Users\<username}/MakeMKV_log.txt" or anything like that. Is that feature different now? Where are the debug messages logged?

* View
* Preferences
* General
* Log debug messages

You restarted MakeMKV after turning it on, correct? The log is only started after the program restarts.

MakeMKV_log.txt should appear in your personal directory. If you are running more than one copy of MakeMKV (to rip more than one disk at a time, for example), the second copy of the file will be MakeMKV_log_1.txt, going up from there (if you have more than two drives).

Not necessarily - it depends on how things were set up when you installed MakeMKV. My logs are in the <userid> directory, not a "hidden" directory under that.
