I am running Mac OS Ventura (13.4) on a M2 chip with a licensed copy of MakeMKV (1.17.3 ARM/64). I have free VLC (Version 3.0.18 Vetinari (Apple Silicon)).
I am trying to enable integration between the two apps from within MakeMKV. It does not work. Error: Privacy and Security; "makemkv" was prevented from modifying apps on your Mac.It looks like Mac OS is preventing MakeMKV from modifying apps on your Mac.
I go through all the steps to enter my password and allow the change, but it never takes and VLC cannot play protected blu-ray discs. This would be handy for properly identifying the correct chapter to burn on the disc. VLC needs a library for decoding and does not have it. Also tried moving the MakeMKV library file to the ~/lib directory and that does not work either.
is there something else I can try?
