Permission issues with Version 1.17.4 in Windows 11

#1 Post by Tankerhank » Fri Jun 09, 2023 10:32 am

I updated from 1.17.3 and installed version 1.17.4 in windoze 11 yesterday. When trying to access the program I got a "you do not have appropriate permissions" notice, when I tried to uninstall it I again run into a permissions issue. BTW I am doing this as the Administrator.

I have zero issues with any other program on this drive.

Being I can't uninstall 1.17.4 I renamed the MKV folder .OLD and reinstalled 1.17.4 once more .. same exact issue. So I bluntly deleted the new MKV folder, then installed 1.17.3 without issue and it runs without issue .. I can run it or uninstall it, no permissions notices.

Not sure where the issue is, but for the time being I will stay with 1.17.3

Any idea what is going on with 1.17.4 ?

I am having many problems with 17.4 also

I was ripping movies earlier in the day with no problems on 17.3. Then I updated now I cant rip anything at all. Wish I could go back to 17.3 too.
