BTW i've compared the TV-LED rgb signal for the x700/x800m2 and its exactly the same.
And as you can see in the comparison , the shield has completely different tunneling colors. Black is supposed to be dark red in TV-LED tunneling but it's purple on the Shield. Even profile 5 seems to be wrong.

https://slow.pics/c/iJGQlcAS

All the other devices (dune, firetv max, firetv old, zidoo, appletv, oppo, x700, x800m2, Philips, chromecast) have a dark RED for black in TV-LED.
it's not purple, it's red and blue stripes yuv 422. As I understand it, this is due to the black level increase in shield tv, so at the bottom of the range on channel B, and even a little on channel R you can see vertical stripes.
So I think it has something to do with that.

Hello again!

Im facing a problem using the workflow 5 to convert a P8 hybrid TrueHD mkv to a ts file. i installed the necessary tools but it gives this error:

FINDSTR: Cannot open C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Local\Tempaudio.format.txt

The output ts file works but has no audio.

Did i do something wrong?

the FINDSTR: error will be fixed in the next version (tomorrow) but it shouldn't be an issue for the muxing with THD...
It's working with the sample files I tested on my end.

Can you copy/upload the complete log of the script job and the mediainfo of your input file?

Does atv infuse still require DDP for profile 8, or is it not necessary after the “official” p8 support update?

This is the script job:
it looks like your path to the tool ''jq.exe'' is not right or missing.

here's the folder for all the tools:

st use tsmuxer to remux the mkv file into bluray folder and play via usb?
because the x800m2 5ghz wifi is fast enough to play high bitrate bluray.
bluray folder playback is not supported via the network
Hmm ok

But is it advisable to remux the mkv file into bluray folder and play via usb? Or we should always remux the original bluray folders?

it's always safer to remux from the original/untouched BD folders but I do sometimes use MKV P7 source when I can't find the bluray (no seed) and it plays fine on my x800m2.

Quick question, when using dovi_tool mode 3 to extract the RPU from a P5 file, is any from the RPU data lost? I'm asking because the other day, I read someone claiming both chroma and luma data being lost when using mode 3; apparently, only dynamic metadata is being carried over from the P5 files to the P8.1 files.

Is this true? Just curious.

sometimes remux may not have AC3 core in the truehd track so atmos won't work if we remux it into bluray folder and play via usb right?

Yes, the mapping metadata contained in profile 5 is not usable in profile 8.1.
It wouldn't make sense to keep it.

THD in MKV remux will never have an ac3 core. My script will add a core when you process it.
