Made a back copy of carlito's way and unknown format??

Can not play the mkv on my LG 570 player as it says unknown format?? All that wasted time to make a mkv and it don't work?

Ok so you have a mkv file - is it on a DVD, USB stick, or on the PC?
This looks like a real picky player, as you appear to need the supplied Nero software to play files on the PC.

Also, although DivX do use the MKV format and there should be no difference (e.g. DivX software will happily play all my MKV files), LG are specific about DivX HD support for MKV, NOT that the 570 will specifically play MKV files.

its directly on my hard drive which is connected to the dvd player. i find this happens alot.
