Can anyone in the U.S. confirm that they can resolve hkdata.fairuse.org? This of course being the site from which the latest SDF file is downloaded. This seems to be ongoing for a couple of days now.
Based on digs from MXToolbox, Google etc., it appears that the A records is gone, at least for U.S. users:
id 6401
opcode QUERY
rcode NXDOMAIN
flags QR RD RA
;QUESTION
hkdata.fairuse.org. IN A
;ANSWER
;AUTHORITY
fairuse.org. 1687 IN SOA ns1.afraid.org. hostmaster.becnel.net. 2303230314 86400 7200 2419200 3600

Queries to fairuse.org resolve OK:
id 24787
opcode QUERY
rcode NOERROR
flags QR RD RA
;QUESTION
fairuse.org. IN A
;ANSWER
fairuse.org. 3600 IN A 74.81.82.130

Unfortunately, workarounds to mitigate the name resolution issue and resolve hkdata.fairuse.org to 91.224.23.225 don't completely resolve the issue, as logs indicate additional "connection timed out" errors.
Is the Hashed Keys Site Up?
Re: Is the Hashed Keys Site Up?
Getting the following from mxtoolbox. nslookup locally resolves the same address. The IP is different from a few months ago, though. Had to update my exceptions.
I'm getting "automatic hk download disabled" message last few days. Trying to debug.
Code: Select all
a:hkdata.fairuse.org
Type Domain Name IP Address TTL
A hkdata.fairuse.org 185.84.108.20
Hosting Ltd (AS43362) 60 min

Re: Is the Hashed Keys Site Up?
I just replied to the following thread with my resolution. Several things at play. It's awaiting mod approval now so check back in a bit.
