What does the Drive Information section say? It is above the LibreDrive Information.

If you burn it right, sure. But why would you? Copy the .mkv across the network to the new PC or put the file on a USB stick and sneaker net it to the new PC.

You need to know that everybody who wants the best quality only rips to ISO or folder to play it with an Oppo or Oppo clone. And then the mkv output is not the best solution for everybody. But burning to BDs is outdated, I agree.

What Oppo or Oppo clone is recommended. What is the least expensive?

I understand and I agree. I should be more clear in my answer. Using either the .mkv or the decrypted backup or an ISO is most likely more convenient than burning a disc.

The Oppo clone M9201 is recommended. Oppo has stopped production of Bluray players.
Look here or depending on your location you can also check on ebay etc. Use Google.

Just for knowledge, what is the correct way to burn the movie?

Usually 25GB discs are no issue with any drive. If you burn 50GB discs read this:

https://forum.redfox.bz/threads/the-lon ... -tl.86133/

You load the BDMV and the CERTIFICATE folder in Imgburn. To reduce size if it exceeds 50GB you need commercial software like CloneBD as an example. 50GB is the limit. Only one player can handle larger discs.

Good Afternoon All,
I'm trying to flash a new LG WH16NS40 to the most recent 102 MK file. However, it does not seem to be working. I cannot see if I have all the settings set up because the app is crushed into a tiny box. I'm using Windows 11 64 bit.Image

No go with that method. The window completely disappears with those settings. Oh, and I realized I'm on Windows 10, not 11- if that matters....

Interesting. Probably best addressed in SDFtool Flasher where the author might have some additional insight. I see he added the note:

NOTE: If the GUI looks a bit deformed (happens on a 4k monitor), you can right click the exe and select properties. In the compatibility tab, click "Change high DPI settings" then under "High DPI scaling override" tick the box and select "System (Enhanced)" in the dropbox.

so it might be something unique to your setup?

Hello,

I'm completely new to this forum as well as MakeMKV

I just received the 50th Anniversary box set of Pink Floyd's DSOTM, and I am looking to rip the Blu-Ray Dolby Atmos, Blu-Ray Dolby ATS, and DVD disks.
I'm starting with the Blu-Ray disks.

I'm doing this from a MacMini running 13.1

I just acquired the Archon MD-8107S-U3YC-UHD external drive.
I already used MakeMKV to rip the first Blu-Ray to the file system. The first thing that I encountered was that the MakeMKV app would not allow me to select the Save selected titles icon, so I couldn't see the audio tracks.

I want to upgrade the firmware

Since, I am on a Mac, I am trying to use the sdftool from the CLI.
This the drive info from sdftool

Code: Select all

MacMini-Server:MacOS jjosephs$ ./sdftool --drive=HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_1.02_212012011716_MO6M2QB3331 --info

Code: Select all

$ pwd

$ ./sdftool --drive=HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_1.02_212012011716_MO6M2QB3331 --sdf-file=/Users/username/Downloads/The\ all\ you\ need\ firmware\ pack/LG\ slim\ BU40N/HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03-NM00000-211810241934.bin -v

I thought that maybe sdftool needs for the file to be sdf.bin, so I copied

Code: Select all

HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03-NM00000-211810241934.bin
to

Code: Select all

sdf.bin

Code: Select all
