[Solved]Dances with wolves BD forced subtitles not working

I ripped dances with wolves with english forced subtitles selected, Sioux language is not diaplayed in english subtitles.

Anyone have a clue?

I got it figured out, there's three titles two are duds the one in the middle which is number one, which there is 0 1 and 2, one is the one to use it has yellow subtitles for Sioux.

I don't have that movie, so I can't comment directly. However, subtitles on DVDs, blu-rays, and UHDs are a bit of a dark art. The best thing to do is select every English (or whatever languages) subtitle track, both forced and normal. Then figure out what the various tracks are by playing the rip in your favorite player. There are no hard and fast rules for subtitles.

I like to use MediaInfo to get a count of elements in the various subtitle tracks. That can help me guess which might be a forced subtitle track and which is likely a SDH subtitle track.

I use mkvpropedit to appropriately name and set flags after the fact.
