Pioneer drive for blu ray/dvd ripping

Hello.

i'm currently looking to replace a few of my LG and ASUS drives. I have used these since 2018-19 and now are making loud noises when in use that I have not heard before. I'm looking at this pioneer blu ray drive from amazon to purchase. https://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-BDR-212D ... c47c48c32f

I only need it to rip dvd and blu rays. I have my LG slim UHD drive only for 4k discs so i'm set there. I do not see this pioneer drive on the recommend purchase list but I have seen that most pioneer drives should work. i'm also aware of the new firmware released as well so i hope this older drive would have an older firmware on it.

thanks for confirming. hopefully UHD would be nice. I just couldn't budget for a UHD drive right now. this will hold me over as I don't rip alot of UHD.
