Feature request (for the GUI) - notifications

Post by Muzer » Mon Apr 04, 2011 5:48 pm

It'd be quite nice if it send a system notification when discs finish ripping - not sure exactly what the official name of these is, but something like what FileZilla does when all files are downloaded, for example (using the native KDE notification system, or presumably Gnome if you run it under that DE)

And you should get them on KDE too.

I've tried it on XFCE and I get notifications there, but I definitely don't get them on KDE with Gentoo.

And do you get any notifications at all (from any application) in that case? MakeMKV just sends notifications to a system notification daemon - you might have to install it on KDE system.

I do - from FileZilla, K3B, and KDE itself of course. Opera and Thunderbird have their own notification systems and do not use KDE's, so obviously those ones work.
