How to rip audio only

Post by neo305 »

If I want to just rip the audio track only, what do I have to do? cuz it rips as a mkv file.

Use something else. MakeMKV does exactly that... It makes MKV files!

Try ffmpeg or eac3to.
Cheers :D

When I’ve wanted to save audio only I’ve ripped with makemkv and then pushed the mkv through mkvtoolnix to drop the video and split by all chapters, creating a set of mka files. I’ve then processed these downstream using gMKVExtractGUI to convert to wav, then converted to FLAC. Might be an easier method, but this works for me.
