Completely new to Makemkv and ripping Blurays. Just ordered a drive from Alex today, and can’t wait to receive. Based on the excellent communication and info thus far, I have no doubt it will be an amazing drive!!

I purchased the following drive from Alex:

LG BU40N SLIM “UHD Official” (9.5mm slim drive, with firmware v1.03, max rip speed 6.0X. Plays back 4K UHD )) Comes installed in a Vantec External USB 3.0 Enclosure but bare drives are available upon request. USB bus powered which is super cool! Easy Plug and Play!

I have ripped many BR's and a single 4KUHD disc and they are all getting nearly 6x speed with MakeMKV. Seems to all be working well. Good service and EXCELLENT shipping. It was wrapped very safely and arrived unharmed.

I like the vantec enclosure for no dedicated power brick needed, just two USB connections (one for power and one for data).

Would definitely recommend and would buy again from Alex if I need more drives. Thanks!

I purchased the following drive: ASUS BW-16D1HT 5.25” ODD with Libre Drive MOD Firmware version 3.01 UHD Friendly firmware, and received it today.
I am a very satisfied customer! From the beginning, Alex was very quick to respond and ready to answer any questions I may have. Got a drive from Alex and its been working great. He even texted me to help me get through an initial bump in the road. I've had it for about 2 weeks now and zero issues except for the fact its filling up my hard drives faster than i expected!
