I assumed saba30 was another person that found a bug. Didn't have the intention to disturb RESET_9999 since he's having a break.

Thanks, Gatorman.

Yeah, it was early for me when I saw those posts. My mistake. :?

As for saba30's bugfix post and BETA version, I found this.

First off, I think the mentioned flawed line# 17013 - in v1.6.8 - is a slip of the pen and should be 17313.
It seems the bug isn't addressed in version 1.6.8.2.BETA:

v1.6.8 lines to be corrected

17291
18044
17313
18047

seem v1.6.8.2.BETA lines to be corrected

17281
18034
17303
18037

I'm rather unsure though and feel dangerously out on a limb. Could someone confirm if my findings are either right or wrong?

Any one in this forum has a vertex2?(I guess not)
Anyone so we can confirm my hack??
Vertex2 resolve combo & windows desktop.
U will also need dobly DV extensions app.
I am very confident this should work on any pc as I’ve tested this on 3 different pc desktops
My test pc right now low end cost about the same price as the vertex2, & works fine. Struggles with hevc encode but that’s expected,

Yes, you are absolutely right, the lines are good in beta version 1.6.8.2

Here is a p8.1 sample from a decoded p5

I don’t think their is an hdr10 version that exists,
I could be wrong.
On the raw export dnxhr 444-12bit all the doblyvision itcp colors are transferred.
The profile color space remains 2-2-2 which is profile 5 even doe it’s decoded,
2-2-2 is also detected in staxrip on the exports.

Well at the moment I only have access to HDR10 via my Samsung. My next TV will have access to HDR10, HDR10+ and most like Dolby Vision and maybe HLG as well. But if I had to choose between Lossless Audio and DV over HDR10 + Lossless Audio then DV would lose out every time. Granted I have avoided being exposed to Dolby Vision because I currently do not have a DV capable TV but I would still take lossless audio. For me audio is as important as the picture. But that might change once I have DV but Audio is still a big part of why I ever upgrade at all.

TimT
My point wasn't so much that one is more important than the other, but rather that they should both be important. If you're going to be one who insists on having the best by having lossless audio, why would you not also insist on having the best by having DV (or at least the option). I don't have an HDR10+ TV (and won't for quite awhile since I only just bought my LG OLED), but I would also argue for any capability to retain HDR10+ video as well, just as vehemently. The post I responded to originally said "what's the point?". If you don't get what the point is, then you should just be streaming off of Netflix. (granted, part of the argument was "what's the point of the current implementation without lossless audio", but that's not seeing the forest for the trees)
Relax, I don't dictate to other people what they should use and was only stating that in my opinion HD Audio was as if not more important than HDR of which I only then and still now had access to HDR10. They are both important and still don't see your point since both are offered still today. And telling someone that if they don't get YOUR point that they should be streaming movies from Netflix is insulting and reductive. My entire life I have seen more than most of the people in my life and the same thing with audio, though less now that I am in my 50s. They are called opinions, get used to other peoples differing from yours.

Dv web dl’s movies in resolve.
Testing all export options to see which 1 produces the best or identical reproduction, same file size as well, even tested hevc 444 main 10 which no device can decode yet, but plays well on the pc,
Guardians of the galaxy holiday special (kbacon) dv/WB/dl
Here is a small test sample of the conversion.
Mdl on the encode is incorrect on purpose.
There are a few things i see in some of the results
I’m getting, both negative & positive feedback is welcomed.
Color range from Full to Limited plus yuv is tricky
I’ve seen banding in some scenes on 10bit yuv on some of the tests. No banding on raw exports samples. EDIT: banding solved.
In my opinion results are promising and looks better than the hdr10 version my sample is 4000nits colors are on point with the exception of the brightness shift, rpu is original p5 to p8.1 Looks more like a natural p5.

I will compare more movies this weekend, but I'm 99% sure that using the internal player renders better quality (regarless of FEL and lossless audio).
Thanks for the information. I should have mentioned I was asking about FEL playback which the LG C1 cannot play. :(

I've placed an order (but cancelled) an order for the Oppo-203 clone and also returned the Sony x800m2 because of that bug and I was wondering if any playback method existed w/o any bugs (for the LG C1).
This is an old post, but the answer to your question is the 2019 Shield TV Pro. The "red push" being claimed is utter nonsense. Simply put, it is something concocted by just a few members of this forum.

Disregarding red push, the 2019 Shield TV Pro can process FEL?

It will play it but the enhancement layer will be ignored.
