Hi, I am having problems backing up Jurassic World Dominion.
I bought the 4K version from Amazon and got and the backup aborted. I washed the disc, tried again, same problem.
I returned to amazon and got a replacement. It completed the backup this time, but gave file check errors on 2 of the files. I washed the disc, tried again, same problem.
Has anyone else got an edition from Amazon that was successful?
Here is the error message:

Re: Issues backing up Jurassic World Dominion 4K
I had issues with this movie. I can't recall what the error was, but sent it back. I'm supposed to be getting my replacement today.

Re: Jurassic World Dominion 4K - Issues backing up
Hello,
Just wondering if anyone did anything special to get their copy to work, other than cleaning?
I have had an issue I never encountered before where my BU40N doesn't even recognize the 4K disc as being in the player, neither in MakeMKV or Windows Explorer. This occurs after a minute or two of whirring, clicking/beeping, and an occasional grind. I have tried four separate copies, three from the Ultimate Collection and one from a standalone copy, all from Amazon in Canada. I successfully ripped all of the other Blu-rays and 4K disc from the Ultimate Collection prior, and have been able to read the Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World 4K discs since this error occurred.
Other than cleaning each disc I have also cleaned the lens on the player quickly, but so far no difference.
Any advice is welcome. Thinking of trying a Best Buy or Walmart copy tomorrow...no idea if that will make a difference.

Try cleaning your laser it's super easy on the BU40N just pop out the try and cleaning with some alcohol on lint free microfiber

Thanks for the advice. I did try that already, no difference afterward. I only gave it about 15 minutes to dry, maybe it needed longer, so I can always try that again.

alcohol dries in seconds if you wiped it away so i don't think that would be the issueLost Dingo wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 5:10 amThanks for the advice. I did try that already, no difference afterward. I only gave it about 15 minutes to dry, maybe it needed longer, so I can always try that again.
other thing is make sure the drive is getting enough power use both usb cables on separate usb circuits not both into an unpowered hub i have seen that and thats useless.
this disc is a bd100 and that requires more power.
