Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
They're on the disc as short video segments of just the length of the commentary, but they're nowhere to be found in MakeMKV. No video files of the correct length, no extraneous audio tracks on the full movie, nothing.

Use the copy to folder option. Click on the DVD drive symbol. Then pick the second symbol in the top list.
Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
What symbol? What list? Do you mean to do a full-disc backup?
Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
Yes. For full backups click the second icon at the top of the window.
For MKVs you need to adjust under "View" "Preferences" the standard for parts being skipped. The standard is that all video shorter than 120 sec will be omitted.

Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
How does doing a full backup give me anything that's not showing up normally, though?
The segments are all at least 5 minutes long, and my minimum is set to something like 30 seconds.

Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
With the full backup you should have an extra audio track with all the commentaries.
Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
But I don't. They're not full commentaries, they don't play through the entire movie, they're just separate, shorter video files that exist within the Blu-ray menu but not in MakeMKV.
MakeMKV also doesn't find the video used in the Blu-ray menu, which is odd.

Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
Not really, because it's just a video track, there's no superimposing or anything janky like that.
I'm not really sure I understand the outcome of that thread, though, as shouldn't MakeMKV display all the MPLS playlists anyway?

Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
Try to open any playlist with MKVToolnix, then it will list anything it can find. It will also show you the m2ts filenames the playlist has inside. So you should find the playlist with your commentaries.
Maybe MakeMKV skips it for some reason.

Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
I've opened all the M2TS files and can't find either the commentaries or the menu. Very confused.
How am I supposed to open the MPLS files?

Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
Don't open the m2ts files from the streams folder but the mpls files from the playlist folder.
Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
That's what I'm asking, I don't know how to open an MPLS file.
Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
As I said with MKVToolNix. If you add a mpls file, it will scan all mpls files and show you any playlists existing (let it scan for other playlists if it's asking):
Then you can check, if there is a playlist with your videos

Re: Arrow's True Romance BD - Select-scene Commentaries?
They seem to show up, but they're weird. Like, the first one is 00003.m2ts, then 00003.m2ts, then 00013.m2ts, then 00003.m2ts. Second one is 00003.m2ts, then 00003.m2ts, then 00013.m2ts, then 00003.m2ts, then 00022.m2ts, then 00022.m2ts, then 00003.m2ts.
That makes no sense.
