Real big thanks! I was a bit hesitant about doing this, but it was literally about 5 minutes of checking things out, 2 downloads, and 2 clicks. Now all is good! Thanks again!

Hello, i have a HITACHI-LG BH16NS55 and it works realy fine for a long time. Now it seems the LG ODD Auto Firmware Updater has updatet the optical Drive to a BH16NS40 what is wrong of course. Now i can not flash it to a other Firmware and the SDFtool Flasher (the old Version and 1.3.4 ) shows no Drive to select to flash it again but under "Device Manager" he shows the wrong BH16NS40. What can i do?

I just got a BP60NB10 and flashed with ease the 1.02mk firmware with the SDFtool. Makemkv says that the drive is patched and can read all the formats. It ripped an 3D Blu-ray perfectly. I have tried to rip 3 separate UHD discs to have them all fail at just over 20GB. I have been looking around the forum for answers. I saw one post that says if it's an NB12 drive or downgrade the firmware to 1.00mk. Done, and it still failed. It is plugged into USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard, and I am running makemkv as an administrator... failed. What am I missing?

Please post your Makemkv info.

As a first use another USB port or use an external hub with separate power supply as your drive could lack power from that USB port.

Firmware type: Patched (microcode access re-enabled)
Firmware version: 1.02

This is the error after ripping around 20 GB on 3 separate UHD Discs:
Error "Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00070.m2ts' at offset '7636383744'
Error 'OS error - STATUS DEVICE DATA ERROR' occurred while reading "Device \CdRom0' at offset '7636383744'

I have tried different USB ports, and for a second attempt on the 3rd disc, I made tried USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard.

First clean your disc as good as possible with liquid soap and warm water. Then try again.

Wow! I really had to clean the discs. I thought I had kept my discs nice, but the littlest thing made it fail. It is very sensitive. I got it to work with a scrub down.

Hi Marty

Just a heads up.... the tool view is also deformed on a 1080p screen, so had to change the dpi option.

Did you read that and follow it?

BP50NB40 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK then to > BP60NB10 1.02MK or 1.00MK
NB52 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with enc > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with bootloader/full flash > BP60NB10 1.00_HBD

I've tried this one first using the new SDFtool Flasher 1.37 and using the old SDFtool Flasher
BP50NB40 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK then to > BP60NB10 1.02MK

Then I tried both ways
NB52 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with enc > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK with bootloader/full flash > BP60NB10 1.00_HBD

Each time the flasher says complete no errors, but the firmware version makemkv show never changes. I've also been running the SDFtool Flasher as admin. The drive still reads blueray disk as normal. I've tried about 4 Uhd bluerays with no luck. I got the MK bin files from this link at the beginning of this post. Not really sure what I'm doing incorrectly
