So my BW-16D1HT no longer reads anything...no DVD, BR, UHD.
What are the current best gotos for LibreDrives? I can get another BW-16D1HT, but it has been a while....will new ones need custom flashing? Not sure if the 4K holes were patched my Asus. If so, what are procedures?
The drive I had was made in Jan 2017 and never needed custom firmware. It ripped 4K from the get go.
It just clicks and clicks and stops when put in a disc.
Thx

Re: BW-16D1HT Dead
just checking you have fully powered down the drive some times they get stuck in a weird mode and that can get it out of it.
if not get a BU40N or a pioneer UHD drive

Yes I have fully powered it off numerous times. Once it powers on you hear the drive head move back and forth, but not matter what disc you insert it won't read it. Very strange.

Re: BW-16D1HT Dead
for those interested I got another (retail box) of the BW-16D1HT made in 2021 with V3.1. I used the MK version here and all is good. Rips UHD and everything else perfectly. Much quieter drive than my one from 2017....much quieter!
