CSS sectors scanned...well, a lot of them, millions

I'm on MakeMKV 1.17.1, on macOS, with an external DVD-RW drive which I've successfully used with MakeMKV before.

I'm trying to copy a kids DVD, Bananas in Pyjamas, which I purchased for cheap as second-hand from basically a goodwill store. My daughter desperately wants to watch these crazy bananas, and I'm GOING bananas, since I can't seem to copy this DVD before I donate it back to the store.

The protection is CSS/CPPM according to the MakeMKV GUI.

It says that the region setting of the drive doesn't match the disc, which is entirely possible, as I don't remember if I switched it to a different region the last time I copied something. The disc and I are both in Sweden, and it's a Swedish DVD.

I managed to copy the DVD content to my SSD using "vobcopy -m" and now I'm running MakeMKV to convert it all into MKV.

However, it's taking a loooong time, with no visible progress.

"CSS sectors scanned" stopped at 1674671, that didn't take long reading from the SSD. Since then, it's been trying to decrypt data.

The "Decrypting data" progress has "Elapsed: 50 minutes / Remaining: 50 minutes" and the Remaining keeps increasing WITH the Elapsed value.

The bottom "Opening DVD files on a harddrive" progress bar has the same Elapsed, but with an ever increasing Remaining. It's currently at 4 hours 13 minutes remaining.

It seems to work if I start the DVD content using VLC, then pausing it before starting MakeMKV. I guess this gets around the decryption somehow.
