DLing latest SDF, followed by Fatal error in 1.17.1-1.8

If I start makemkv, it reports that it's downloading the latest sdf ... then stalls, then closes with a 'fatal error' message.

MakeMKV version: 1.17.1-1.8. I've had the problem for the past couple of days, after updating to this version.

Threads on this forum suggest that I can download sdf.bin and copy it into the data directory. I copied it to /home/.MakeMKV (Linux), but that didn't help.

I don't need to use MakeMKV right away, and could wait a few days if a configuration needs to be fixed on the MakeMKV server.

Thank you, d00zah. I'm using Tumbleweed, so it looks like I've got company.

The flatpak version works for me, too, as for another user on this forum:

However, this would be my only flatpak app, so I'll hope that openSUSE can fix the glibc 2.36 issue.
